Alaska Airlines to Install New Seats, Personal Power Outlets on Aircraft

Alaska Airlines said it will upgrade the cabins on all of its Boeing 737-800, 737-900, and 737-900ER aircraft.  The $100 million project is expected to be finished by the end of next year.

Alaska Airlines Launches Seattle-Salt Lake City Service

Alaska Airlines launched new twice-daily service between Seattle and Salt Lake City.  The flights will operate using Boeing 737 Next Generation aircraft.
Flights will depart from Seattle at 7:00 a.m. and 1:10 p.m., arriving in Salt Lake City at 9:59 a.m. and 4:10 p.m., respectively.  Flights from Salt Lake City to Seattle will depart at 11:00 a.m. and 5:10 p.m., with arrival times of 12:07 p.m. and 6:17 p.m.

Alaska Airlines to Begin New Service Between Fairbanks and Portland, Oregon

Alaska Airlines announced it will add seasonal daily nonstop service between Fairbanks and Portland, Oregon, on June 9.  The last day for this flight in 2013 will be September 2, 2013.
In celebration of the new service, the airline is offering a special one-way fare of $179, which must be purchased by February 16, for travel by July 9, 2013.

Dallas/Fort Worth Airport to Offer Customer Rewards Program

Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport has announced that it will launch a new customer loyalty program in June of this year.  The DFW Customer Rewards Program will allow travelers to earn miles for in-airport purchases.
To earn airline miles, program members simply need to make a qualifying purchase at the airport.  Qualifying purchases will include parking, restaurant and retail outlets, services, and airport hotels.

American Airlines, Alaska Airlines Expand Codeshare Relationship

American Airlines and Alaska Airlines have signed a new codeshare agreement under which the two airlines will offer additional codeshare routes.  Tickets for the new routes are now available, for travel beginning February 7, 2013.
