Air Canada Expands Service to Hawaii, Resuming Some Routes and Adding New Ones

Air Canada announced that it will launch several new new routes to Hawaii to Hawaii while resuming others that were put on pause earlier in the coronavirus pandemic.
On September 10, the airline will resume its Vancouver-Maui service, with up to one flight per day in peak season. The carrier will operate the route using Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.

Air Canada said Friday it is terminating its planned takeover of Air Transat, saying it doesn’t believe that the European Commission, the bloc’s antitrust regulator, would approve the deal without placing significant burdens on the combined entity.

Air Canada said Monday that it plans to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by the middle of the century.
The news comes ten weeks after United Airlines announced similar plans, and several months after members of the oneworld alliance announced an alliance-wide commitment to a similar target goal.
