Air Canada Extends Boeing 737 Max Cancellations Through February 2020

Air Canada announced additional changes to its flying schedule through early next year as a result of the grounding of the Boeing 737 Max. The change will give it “scheduling predictability” as the airline begins the implementation of a new reservations system.
As a result, the airline has removed the aircraft from its schedule until February 14, 2019.

Air Canada announced that it plans to offer new thrice-weekly service to Bogota from Montreal on June 2 next year.
Flights will depart Montreal at 10:45 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, arriving in Bogota at 4:14 a.m. the next morning. Return flights will depart Bogota at 9 p.m. on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, arriving in Montreal at 4:20 p.m.

Star Alliance partners Lufthansa and Air Canada announced that the German flag carrier would begin to operate summer seasonal service linking Ottawa and Frankfurt and that Air Canada would discontinue its own service after this year.

Air Canada will deploy Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft on its non-stop daily service between Ottawa International Airport and London’s Heathrow Airport next spring, the airline said.
