Alaska Air Reports Traffic and Capacity Increase for May

Alaska Air Group announced operational results for May 2018. The carrier saw a rise in traffic and capacity, and a drop in load factor for the month.
System-wide traffic for Alaska Air Group, expressed in revenue passenger miles, or RPMs, increased by 7.4% year-over-year, up to 4.84 billion RPMs compared to 4.50 billion in May of 2017.

Amtrak announced new menus for the Corridor Cafes on its Acela and Northeast Regional trains.
The new menu includes a selection of sandwiches made with Boar’s Head products, Sahale Snacks, Sweet Street desserts, as well as gluten-free and vegan options.

United Airlines announced plans to open its fourth Polaris Lounge, this one at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston.

Vancouver International Airport held a groundbreaking ceremony Thursday to commemorate the start of an ambitious 5.6-billion Canadian dollars ($4.3 billion) 20-year expansion plan.
