Oldest Inn in U.S., The Groton, to Reopen After Fire

The Groton Inn, the nation’s oldest inn, will reopen Wednesday after being rebuilt following a fire that destroyed the original 1678 building in 2011.
The inn served as the meeting place for St. Paul’s Masonic Lodge, where Paul Revere was Grand Master, from 1797 until 1847. The new building preserves the look of the original including its large multi-columned front porch that spans much of the façade.

The airline reported a net income of $463 million, while total revenue for the quarter was up 1.9% to $4.9 billion, a record for a first quarter for the carrier.

Air Canada announced financial results for the first quarter of 2018.
The Montreal-based airline reported record first quarter revenue of 4.07 billion Canadian dollars, a 12% increase over 3.62 billion in Q1 2017. It also reported a loss of 184 million Canadian dollars, which included foreign exchange losses of 112 million Canadian dollars.
