Four Seasons has purchased the Bilila Lodge, a resort in the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania, Africa, and will reopen it as the Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti this fall.

Starwood will reopen the Eastland Park Hotel in Portland, Maine as the Westin Portland Harborview next spring, following a $40 million renovation.
The hotel, which first opened in 1927, will be fully stripped down and renovated to include the signature Westin services and comforts. The 289 rooms will feature Westin Heavenly beds, the brand’s line of bathroom amenities, and high speed Wi-Fi.

American, Boeing, and the FAA Partner on ecoDemonstrator Plane

American Airlines, Boeing, and the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) have partnered to construct a Next Generation 737-800, called the ecoDemonstrator, outfitted with new environmentally friendly technologies.
The ecoDemonstrator will soon begin flight-testing in Montana, with the hopes of finding new ways to apply more fuel efficient, sustainable technologies to commercial flight.

Qatar Airways and the Tanzania Tourist Board have announced the launch of a new route between Doha International Airport in Qatar, and Kilimanjaro International Airport in Tanzania.
