Chicago Restaurant Week Kicks Off February 17

Eat It Up Chicago!, aka Chicago Restaurant Week, kicks off February 17 and runs through February 26, featuring discounted dining at some of the city’s top restaurants.
More than 200 restaurants are participating, with $22 prix fixe lunches, and $33 and $44 prix fixe dinners (excluding drinks, tax, and tip). Michelin-starred restaurants taking part in Chicago Restaurant Week include Sepia, Blackbird, and Spiaggia.

Delta has begun the refurbishment of its Boeing 747-400 fleet, installing fully-flat-bed seats in a herringbone configuration in BusinessElite cabins. In the new configuration, each seat will have direct aisle access.

U. S. Airlines Improve On-Time Arrivals, Customer Service

Airlines in the United States posted their best performance so far in on-time arrivals, baggage handling, and bumping passengers in 2011.

State Department Issues Mexico Travel Warning

The U.S. Department of State has issued a travel warning about security conditions in Mexico as a result of increased violence associated with drug trafficking.
Violent crimes including gun battles in public venues, carjacking, kidnapping, and highway robbery have been on the upswing, and in some cases, local police have been implicated in the crimes.
