Hyatt 48 Lex, New York City – Hotel Review

The Hyatt 48 Lex, a newly-built boutique property, with 116 suites and studios, opened in August 2011 in Midtown East, just a few blocks from Grand Central Terminal.
As I checked in, the front desk agent warmly greeted me and described some of the hotel’s amenities, inviting me to visit the second-floor Lexicon Lounge, where guests are served wine and cheese every evening.

Air China, a member of the Star Alliance, has launched twice weekly Beijing-Hailar-Chita flights, using Boeing 737-300 aircraft.

Wyndham has opened its first Tryp by Wyndham hotel in the U.S., the 173-room Tryp New York City Times Square South, on West 35th Street between Eighth and Ninth Avenues.

British Airways Previews New First-Class Moscow Service

Starting March 25, British Airways, a member of the oneworld alliance, will be the first airline to offer first-class travel between London Heathrow and Moscow.
The airline will offer daily four-class service aboard a long-haul Boeing 74, and two long-haul Boeing 767s on the route. British Airways had previously operated the route using two-cabin short-haul aircraft.

Virgin America has announced that, starting June 5,  it will begin daily service to Portland International Airport with two-non-stops daily flights from Los Angeles International Airport and one non-stop daily from San Francisco International Airport.  Portland will be Virgin America’s eighteenth destination.
The airline is introducing the new routes with a fare sale.  Prices start at $99 for PDX-SFO or PDX-LAX.  Tickets are now available for purchase at www.virginamerica.com.
