JetBlue Airways turned 20 on Tuesday.  The New York-based airline’s first revenue flight was Flight 1 between New York and Fort Lauderdale on February 11, 2000.

Chinese health officials said Tuesday that 42,638 cases of the novel coronavirus had been confirmed, meaning an additional 2,478 cases had been confirmed in the previous 24 hours.  Meanwhile, the death toll jumped by 108 to at least 1,018 people.

The death toll from the novel coronavirus is now 811, surpassing the toll from the worldwide SARS epidemic in 2002-2003. Officials recorded 89 deaths and 2,656 new cases in the preceding 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 37,198.  Most of the deaths were in the Hubei province.
