Jonathan Spira was bitten by the travel bug at a young age and was Platinum on Pan Am by the time he was attending university.  In a career that in part parallels his work as chief analyst at research firm Basex, Spira began writing about travel almost ten years ago, focusing on the “executive road warrior” in his writing.  He is currently editorial director of Frequent Business Traveler (née Executive Road Warrior), an online publication he co-founded with David Goldes and Greg Spira.  He is also editor of  Frequent Business Traveler’s sister publication, The Diesel Driver.

Prior to that, Spira was a regular contributor to Business Traveler and Premium Traveler magazines and a regular contributor on travel and technology to the BMW CCA Roundel magazine..

Spira is the author of Overload! How Too Much Information is Hazardous To Your Organization and of Managing the Knowledge Workforce. He is the co-author of The History of Photography (Aperture, November 2001), which was named a best book of the year by the New York Times, and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania.  He conducted graduate-level research at the Ludwig-Maximilians Universität (Munich), Institut für Neuere Geschichte.
