American and JetBlue’s Northeast Alliance Adds Benefits to Elite Members of Both Airlines’ Frequent-Flyer Programs
American Airlines and JetBlue Airways announced benefits for members of their respective frequent-flyer programs with elite status as part of their Northeast Alliance.
The benefits go into effect starting Wednesday and include upgrades to each airline’s premium economy lite section and the ability to make same-day changes in flights at no charge.
Mosaic-level members of the JetBlue TrueBlue program are now eligible for complimentary seating in American’s premium economy lite section, Main Cabin Extra. The section includes seats with additional legroom, early boarding, and dedicated overhead bin space. This benefit is already in effect.
Similarly, AAdvantage members with elite status are now eligible to receive complimentary seating in the equivalent JetBlue cabin, Even More Space, based on availability at the time of check-in. This benefit will go into effect in the next few days.
While JetBlue Mosaic members can already make same-day changes on American flights, AAdvantage members with Platinum Pro and higher elite status will now be able to make same-day changes in flights at no charge.
Elite members of both programs already enjoy priority check-in, access to priority security lanes, priority luggage handling, early boarding, and on American, free checked bags.
