Southwest Airlines Announces Multiple Executive Appointments and Promotions

Southwest Airlines announced multiple executive appointments and promotions at the end of last week.

Justine Jones, the airline’s vice president of technical operations planning and performances, was promoted to the position of senior vice president for operational strategy and design, a new role.

Angela Marano, who currently serves as managing director of business transformation, is being promoted to the position of vice president of business transformation and she will report to Mr. Jones in the new strategy and design department.

Additional promotions include Jonathan Clarkson to the position of vice president of marketing, loyalty, and products, Jim Dayton to the position of chief information officer and vice president of cybersecurity, and John Herlihy to the position of technology operations.

Mr. Clarkson most recently served as the managing director for the company’s Rapid Rewards frequent-flyer program.
