JetBlue Airways announced a second elite tier available to members of its TrueBlue frequent-flyer program, Mosaic+.

Mosaic+ status can be earned by accruing 45,000 Mosaic Qualifying Points or with a $150,000 spend on a JetBlue co-branded credit card.

“With new perks on the way in the new year we’re making sure our Mosaic program always offers our most loyal customers something new to look forward to,” said the airline’s head of loyalty programs, Don Uselmann.

The Mosaic+ program appears to be limited to the calendar year 2022.

Among the benefits Mosaic+ members will receive in addition to what Mosaic members currently get are four upgrade certificates.

Upgrade certificates will be valid for all destinations served by aircraft offering Mint business-class cabins except for London.  Tickets must be booked at least 96 hours prior to departure and all economy fares qualify for upgrades.  Upgrades will clear 24 hours prior to departure, subject to availability, and will be prioritized by booking date.

Unlike most frequent-flyer programs with such upgrades, JetBlue will not maintain a waitlist and upgrade travelers at the gate.

Other benefits include upgrades to Even More Space seats and complimentary upgrades from Express to BusinessFirst on the Heathrow Express train into London.
