Southwest Airlines and JPMorgan Chase announced two planned enhancements to the current benefits that holders of the Southwest Rapid Rewards credit cards receive.

This year is the 25th that JPMorgan Chase and Southwest have jointly offered Rapid Rewards credit cards.

The cards, Southwest said with a nod to its many love-themed marketing campaigns and its LUV ticket symbol, now come “with more to love: more points, [and] more benefits.”

The changes offer cardholders several new ways with which to earn Rapid Rewards points as well as new cardholder benefits.

Holders of the Southwest Plus and Premier cards will now receive two EarlyBird Check-In credits annually.  In addition, they will be able to earn A-List status based on spend going forward.

Recipients of a new Southwest credit card can earn 50,000 Rapid Rewards points after spending $2,000 in the first three months following the account opening, as well as an additional 50,000 points after spending $12,000 in the first twelve months.

Performance business  cardholders can earn 80,000 Rapid Rewards points after spending $5,000 in the first three months, while Premier business cardholders can earn 60,000 points in the same period of time.
