Hilton Worldwide announced that its newest hotel brand, Tempo, will partner with Bluestone Lane, a coffee roaster and operator of 55 cafés in the United States.

Bluestone will be Tempo’s exclusive provider of coffee and tea products at the hotel’s cafés.  In addition, the café will offer a variety of dishes from the Bluestone menu including Bluestone Lane’s avocado smash and chili egg scramble.  The Australian-inspired café’s grain bowls, wraps, and sandwiches will also be available to guests.

Tempo is intended to be “an approachable lifestyle brand curated to serve a growing segment of ‘modern achievers,’” the hotelier said at a launch event in New York City in early 2020, as well as be a product that helps guests “live better lives.”

The new hotels, which will open over the next few years in over 30 cities including Atlanta, Boston, Houston, Los Angeles, Maui, New York City, Nashville, San Diego, and Washington D.C., will feature rooms that Hilton says will serve as a kind of “refuge” from the modern world.  Guests will have access to Tempo’s Power Up and Power Down morning and nighttime rituals that help get the day started and bring it to an end, a Get Ready Zone where one can focus on work, and large bathrooms with mirrors that feature built-in Bluetooth speakers.

Bluestone Lane already operates coffee shops at multiple hotels including at the Darcy Hotel in Washington, D.C. and at the Westin Hotel in Long Beach.
