Delta Air Lines said Tuesday that it plans to equip its pilots with new iPads.

The pilots will soon start to receive new iPad Pro tablets powered by Apple’s new M1 microprocessor and come equipped with support for 5G.

The new iPads are an upgrade to the current tablet used as pilot electronic flight bags.

Delta isn’t the first airline to deploy iPhones or iPads to crew members.  In June, American announced plans to deploy 20,000 iPhones to flight attendants and other customer-facing employees as well as iPads to its pilots.

Meanwhile, Delta announced plans to equip flight attendants with the iPhone 12 earlier this year. British Airways gave its 15,000 flight attendants iPhone XRs in 2019 and United Airlines, as far back as 2017, upgraded the iPhone 6S models that its flight attendants used to iPhone 7 Pluses.
