InterContinental Hotels and Resorts announced the opening of a Crowne Plaza in Nice in the south of France.

The Crowne Plaza Nice – Grand Arénas is well situated, just ten minutes from the city center and a five-minute train ride from Nice Côte d’Azur Airport.

It is located in the Grand Arénas district, one of the largest international business centers in Southern Europe.

Standard rooms feature a blue-and-tan décor with a sitting area with a small sofa and table, as well as a large writing desk. Suites feature a similar décor with a separate living room and offer a view of the sea.

For those in a suite, the Club Lounge on the top floor features a continental breakfast in the morning and a variety of refreshments throughout the day.  In the evening, the lounge features an open bar.

The hotel’s fitness center offers a variety of equipment including elliptical machines, stationery bicycles, and treadmills as well as free weights for guests who wish to work out.

Located on the French Riviera, Nice is the seventh most populous urban area in France.  It is located on the south east coast of France on the Mediterranean at the foot of the Alps.

The city stands out for its architecture and history. This includes the Promenade des Anglis along the Baie des Anges, multiple cathedrals, and museums that include the Musée Matisse.

The cuisine of Nice is similar to that of Provence and uses local ingredients including olive oil, anchovies, fruits, and vegetables in its dishes.

InterContinental also said it had opened up a smaller Holiday Inn Express adjacent to the Crowne Plaza in the Grand Arénas.
