Marriott International said Friday it would offer employees at hotels in the United States and Canada under Marriott management an incentive for getting inoculated against the coronavirus.

The Vaccination Care Program will give each employee the equivalent of four hours of pay after getting vaccinated.

In addition to the incentive, the hotelier is educating employees on the benefits of vaccination and allowing employees flexibility in work hours to schedule appointments for inoculations.

Marriott joins other companies in the travel field including American Airlines, which is offering employees an extra vacation day and $50 in points redeemable for a variety of gifts and gift card, and Delta Air Lines, which is offering six hours of personal paid time off. Other companies ranging from McDonald’s to Instacart are offering their workers incentives as well.
