American Airlines Adds New Independent Director

American Airlines announced the appointment of Adriane Brown to the company’s board of directors.

Ms. Brown is a managing partner at Flying Fish Partners, a venture capital firm named after the fish throwers at the Pike Place Market, which she joined in 2018, and serves on multiple other boards including that of Axon and eBay.

Prior to joining Flying Fish she served as chief operating officer at Intellectual Ventures and held several positions at Honeywell International.  She attended Old Dominion University and received a bachelor of science degree there in 1980.

In a statement, the airline said it was “thrilled” to have Ms. Brown join the board.

Once on the board, Ms. Brown will serve on several board committees including audit and corporate governance.
