JetBlue Names Former American Airlines CIO Ford to Board of Directors
JetBlue Airways announced the appointment of Monte Ford to the company’s board of directors.
Mr. Ford is the former senior vice president and chief information officer of American Airlines. He currently serves as principal partner at the CIO Strategy Exchange.
“As we emerge from the impact of coronavirus, Monte’s technology background will be invaluable as we build an even stronger JetBlue for our customers, crewmembers, and shareholders,” said Peter Boneparth, the company’s chairman of the board.
The appointment is with immediate effect, pending the approval of JetBlue’s current board of directors.
The board of directors will have 11 members after Ford’s appointment.
