Hilton Opens Waldorf Astoria Xiamen, its 300th Hotel in China
Hilton Worldwide announced the opening of the Waldorf Astoria Xiamen, the fourth Waldorf Astoria property in Asia and the hotelier’s 300th hotel in China.
The new Waldorf joins the Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi, Waldorf Astoria Bangkok and Waldorf Astoria Beijing in Asia. It is the sixth Waldorf Astoria to open in the Asia-Pacific region.
The 245-key property offers guests room with floor-to-ceiling windows and a choice of decors: the light design features aqua blues that the property says recalls Xiamen’s coastal landscape or a earth-tone palette that is intended to call to mind Xiamen’s tea culture. In-room amenities include a 55” flatscreen television and an extra-large soaking tub in the bathroom.
Guests have a choice of several dining options including Brasserie One, which offers a selection of Western and European dishes, and Hooklo, which offers traditional dishes from the Fujian region in which the hotel is located. The Waldorf’s traditional Peacock Alley serves afternoon tea on a garden terrace or in a Art Deco interior setting.
The Waldorf Astoria Spa offers treatment rooms with private terraces and a signature treatment, Aroma Hydro Thermal Therapy Experience. The hotel has a 24-hour fitness center with an outdoor swimming pool and a children’s playground.
As a Hilton property, the hotel follows the standards of the Hilton CleanStay program to ensure that the rooms are thoroughly disinfected for each guest and that the hotel follows deep-cleaning protocols on high-touch areas.
