Southwest Airlines said it plans to add 12 new routes next February and March including new flights to Hawaii and Savannah.

“We’re deploying our planes and people to more places that our customers have desired visiting this coming winter and spring break season,” said Andrew Watterson, the airline’s chief commercial officer.

The airline plans to take advantage of the return of the Boeing 737 Max to its fleet after a 20-month grounding following two fatal hull losses.

The airline link Savannah and with Baltimore, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, and Nashville starting on March 11, 2021.  It will also link Sarasota with all of those cities except for Dallas starting on February 14, 2021.

Sarasota is the airline’s tenth destination in the state of Florida.

In addition, on March 11, the carrier will add service from Long Beach, California, to Honolulu and from Orange County, California, to Los Cabos and Puerto Vallarta.
