Travelers departing London Heathrow Airport can now get a coronavirus test with results in under an hour.

The test costs £80 ($104.85).

British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, and Cathay Pacific all operate routes that require testing. Tests are being offered in Terminals 2 and 5.

Passengers traveling to Hong Kong and Italy currently must have proof of a negative coronavirus test in order to travel.  Those traveling from the United Kingdom to Italy can also be tested upon arrival at an airport there.

The tests are being offered by Swissport and Collinson Group.  In partnership with biotech firm Prenetics, the two are offering a throat and nose swab test known as a Lamp or loop-mediated isothermal amplification test that was developed by the University of Oxford. The results are obtained more quickly than the polymerase chain reaction test because the sample does not have to be sent out to a laboratory for analysis.
