Avis Budget Group and Hertz Global Holdings separately announced the appointment of new chief financial officers.

Hertz announced the appointment of R. Eric Esper to the position of executive vice president and chief financial officer, following the resignation of Jamere Jackson, who most recently served in those positions. Mr. Esper joined Hertz in 2018 as vice president and controller, after serving in similar positions at Norwegian Cruise Lines Holdings.

Hertz, which filed for bankruptcy in May, also announced the appointment of Kenny K. Cheung to the position of executive vice president of finance and chief operational finance and restructuring officer.

Both appointments go into effect immediately.

Avis Budget Group announced the appointment of Brian Choi to the position effective August 24, 2020, following the departure of the current CFO, John F. North.

Mr. Choi served on the company’s board of directors since 2016 and resigned from the board in order to serve as CFO.
