Sixt and Mini Partner to Offer Rentals in San Francisco
Sixt rent a car announced a partnership with Mini USA under which the rental-car company opened a new location in San Francisco dedicated to the Mini experience.
In addition to a rental fleet consisting only of Minis, the Mission District location will offer one-day complimentary test drives of Minis to prospective customers.
The partnership is “a perfect fit” for the brand, said Mike Peyton, Mini’s vice president, and “for customers who come to live, work and play in San Francisco.
Founded near Munich in 1912, Sixt was the first car-rental agency in Munich and is the largest car rental company in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Israel. It is the fourth largest car rental agency in the United States, with over 50 U.S. locations including branches in Union Square in San Francisco and Chicago O’Hare as well as at Miami International, Seattle-Tacoma International, San Diego International, Tampa International airports, and in Battery Park in New York City. The company first entered the U.S. market in 2011.
