Alaska Airlines announced plans for new service to Cincinnati from its hub in Seattle.

The daily non-stop flights from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport to Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport will commence on August 18, 2020.

First settled in 1788, Cincinnati was the first city founded after the American Revolution and was the among the top ten cities in the United States by population in the 19th century.  Today the city is known for its historic architecture and its offerings in art, music, and theater including Cincinnati Music Hall, home of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Cincinnati Pops Orchestra, Cincinnati Ballet, and Cincinnati Opera. It is also well-known for Cincinnati Chili, a noodle dish topped with a  spiced sauce, grated cheese, and, depending on the recipe, diced onion and/or beans.

“We couldn’t be more excited to rollout our newest Midwest destination adding the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky region to the Alaska Airlines network,” said Brett Catlin, the airline’s managing director for capacity planning.

Alaska will operate the flights using three-class Boeing 737 aircraft cabins with a first-class cabin that has recliner seats that are 21” in width with a seat pitch of 41”.
