Hyatt to Open New Properties in Miami and Turkey

Hyatt Hotels announced plans for two new properties, a Grand Hyatt in Miami and a Hyatt Regency in Izmir, Turkey.

The Grand Hyatt will be adjacent to the Miami Beach Convention Center, which was recently renovated.  The 800-key property will feature 12 floors of guest rooms that have views of Miami Beach as well as two floors of meeting and event space including ballrooms.  The hotel will be connected to the Convention Center via a climate-controlled skybridge.

The 17-story hotel, located on Convention Center Drive, is slated to open in 2023.

The 161-key Hyatt Regency Izmir Istinye Park will be part of a mixed-use development that includes a shopping mall and an 860,000-square-foot (80,000-square-meter) park. The property will overlook the Gulf of Izmir and includes a variety of amenities such as a restaurant, bar, spa, and fitness center.

The Hyatt Regency Izmir Istinye Park will  also offer over 21,500 square feet (2,000 square meters) of meeting and event space, and will be located 12 miles (20 kilometers) from the airport.

Izmir is the third most populous city in Turkey after Istanbul and Ankara.  It is one of the oldest cities in the Mediterranean basin.
