Hawaiian Airlines Sees Increase in Traffic, Capacity for January

Hawaiian Airlines announced operational results for January 2020.

The airline reported that it carried 963,053 passengers in January, a year-over-year increase of 0.5% from 958,548 in the same period last year.

Traffic for the Honolulu-based carrier during the month was 1.52 billion RPMs, or revenue passenger miles, an increase of 6.6% from 1.43 billion RPMs in January 2019. The carrier’s total capacity for the month was up 2.1% to 1.83 billion ASMs, or available seat miles, from 1.70 billion ASMs last January.

Meanwhile, Hawaiian’s consolidated load factor was 83.6%, a 0.7 percentage point drop from 84.3% the previous January.
