French hotelier Accor and SBE Entertainment Group announced plans to introduce the Mondrian hotel brand to Asia and expand the brand’s presence in Europe. The two hotel groups (Accor owns 50% of SBE) plan to open a total of ten new Mondrian hotels by the end of 2021.

The initial three Mondrian properties will be located in Seoul, Bordeaux, and Cannes.  The two plan to announce additional Mondrian properties in Australia, the Dominican Republic, Germany, the Maldives, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, the U.S. Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, and Vietnam.

SBE recently completed a major renovation of its Mondrian property in Los Angeles. It also announced plans for new two Mondrian hotels in Mexico City.

Accor took a 50% interest in SBE in October 2018.  SBE operates three hotels in London, St Martins Lane, the Mondrian, and the Sanderson London, as well as SLS, Delano, Hyde, and Redbury brands and dining brands Katsuya, Umamai Burger, and Cleo.
