WestJet Plans Non-Stop Service Linking Halifax with Manchester

WestJet announced plans to offer non-stop seasonal service from Halifax to Manchester.

The inaugural flight will take place on June 5, 2020 and flights will operate four times per week. Seasonal service will end on October 24.

The carrier will operate the service using Boeing 737-700 aircraft, equipped with 12 seats in economy plus and 118 seats in economy. Economy plus-seats are 17” wide and have a width of 36”.

Manchester is the third most visited city in the United Kingdom after London and Edinburgh, and the third largest city in England after London and Birmingham.  It is home to the world’s first inter-city passenger railway station and two Premier League football teams.

WestJet will also offer seasonal service from Halifax to Glasgow, Scotland, and London’s Gatwick Airport.
