Hilton Honors, the guest loyalty program of Hilton hotels, announced changes to how members would earn points from stays.

There are three major changes, namely that members can earn points from more rooms during one stay, that all brands will allow members to earn points from incidental purchases during a stay, and that the 100,000-point limit per stay is being removed.

Going forward, the program will allow an individual Hilton Honors member to earn points from up to four rooms during one stay, versus the prior limit of two rooms.

In addition, members will earn points from incidentals on the bill for their stay across all Hilton brands including Hampton Inn, Home2 Suites, and Tru.

The changes go into effect on January 9, 2020.
