Amtrak announced its 123Free promotion, which offers a free round trip ticket this summer after completing three round trips between now and February 29, 2020.

The offer is valid on its Acela and Northeast Regional trains.  Membership in the railroad’s loyalty program, Amtrak Guest Rewards, is required.

Amtrak’s high-speed Acela service connects Boston with Washington, D.C. making 14 intermediate stops including New York City and Philadelphia. Acela trains attain 150 mph (240 km/h) on portions of the route and are the fastest trains in the United States.

The Northeast Regional train is a regional service that runs along the Northeast Corridor between Boston and Washington, D.C. via New York.  The railroad provides service to Richmond, Newport News, Norfolk, and Roanoke via extensions and branches and to Springfield, Massachusetts via the Hartford Line.
