Alaska Airlines announced plans to offer non-stop daily service linking Seattle with Monterey, California.

“We’re excited to welcome Alaska Airlines and its service to Seattle to our community and our region,” Michael La Pier, executive director of Monterey Regional Airport.

Horizon Air, Alaska’s regional subsidiary, will operate the flights, which commence on June 18, 2020, using Embraer 175 aircraft.  The E175 jets seat 76 people in two cabins.  The recliner seats in the first-class cabin are 21” in width and have a seat pitch of 37”.  Seats in the airline’s premium-economy lite section are 18.25” wide and have a seat pitch of 34”, while seats in coach have the same width and a seat pitch of 31”.

The new flights will be the only non-stop service between the two cities and will complement Alaska’s service between San Diego and Monterey.
