JetBlue Airways announced operational results for November 2019. The carrier’s traffic, capacity, and load factor were up for the month.

The New York-based airline’s passenger traffic was 4.23 billion revenue passenger miles, or RPMs, a year-over-year increase of 3.8% from 4.1 billion RPMs in the same period last year.

JetBlue’s capacity increased by 7.1% to 5.27 billion available seat miles, or ASMs, from 4.92 billion ASMs in November 2018.

Meanwhile, the carrier’s passenger load factor for the month was 80.8%, down 2.7 percentage points from 83.5% last November.

The airline reported that its preliminary completion factor was 99.9% and its on-time performance was 80.4%. It also provided guidance for fourth quarter revenue per available seat mile, or RASM. RASM is expected to range between -3.5% and -1.5%.   The airline said the drop was caused by the “negative impact” of weather during the Thanksgiving holiday period and softer than expected close-in yields in late November.
