Hyatt Hotels said it will open over 20 new luxury hotels by the end of next year.

The hotelier will add properties under several brands including Andaz, Alila, Grand Hyatt, Miraval, and Park Hyatt, as well as some that will be part of the Unbound Collection.

The Park Hyatt brand will make an appearance in five new locations including Auckland, Doha, Jakarta, Suzhou, China, and Niseko, Japan. In addition, Hyatt will open six Andaz properties in six cities including Bali, Dubai, and Prague, as well as in Palm Springs, California, and Shenzhen and Xiamen in China.

Meanwhile, the Unbound Collection by Hyatt will see the addition of multiple new properties in historic buildings including Great Scotland Yard in London’s former Metropolitan Police headquarters building and the Hôtel du Palais Biaritz in the former residence of Napoleon III.

“Europe in particular, with its unique and historic architecture, represents a natural home for The Unbound Collection,” said Peter Fulton, the company’s group president for Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Southwest Asia.

Hyatt is also opening several new Grand Hotel properties including two in China, and one each in Kuwait, India, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, and Nashville, Tennessee.  Grand Hyatt is the hotelier’s largest luxury brand.

The company opened its first Hyatt hotel outside the United States in 1969, when it was awarded the management contract for the President Hotel in Hong Kong, later known as the Hyatt Regency Hong Kong.   Both Park Hyatt and Grand Hyatt brands were introduced in 1980. The Unbound Collection of independent higher-end properties was launched in 2016.
