Delta Air Lines and Latam Airlines Group announced a codeshare partnership for flights to be operated by Latam affiliates in Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru.  The codeshare agreement will go into effect in the first quarter of 2020, pending government approvals.

The partnership will offer customers in South American connections to 74 destinations in the United States on Delta flights and 51 destinations in South American on Latam flights.

“This is an important milestone for customers as we begin to deliver on the transformative partnership between Delta and LATAM announced earlier this year,” said Steve Sears, the airline’s executive vice president for global sales.

In September, Delta took a 20% stake in Latam.  Latam Airlines Group is a Chilean holding company headquartered in Santiago. It has subsidiaries in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, and Peru.
