Boeing’s Chun Succeeds Mills as Top Communications Executive

DSC_0376Boeing announced the appointment of Conrad Chun to the position of as vice president of communications for Boeing Commercial Airplanes on Tuesday.

Mr. Chun succeeds Linda Mills, who is leaving the company.  He will reportto Anne Toulouse, the company’s senior vice president of communications, and to Stan Deal, the unit’s CEO.

Ms. Mills’ exit comes on the heels of the appointment of the new Boeing Commercial Airplanes CEO, Stan Deal.  She is the second executive to be shown the door amidst the 737 Max crisis that resulted in the firing of Kevin McAllister as CEO of the commercial airplane unit.

Boeing has been widely criticized for mishandling communications during the crisis.

Prior to the appointment, Mr. Chun served as vice president of communications for Boeing Global Services.  He joined Boeing in 2010 after serving in the U.S. Navy for 24 years.
