JetBlue Airways announced operational results for September 2019. The carrier’s traffic, capacity, and load factor were up for the month.

The New York-based airline’s passenger traffic was 4.02 billion revenue passenger miles, or RPMs, a year-over-year increase of 3.4% from 3.89 billion RPMs in the same period last year.

JetBlue’s capacity increased by 2.5% to five billion available seat miles, or ASMs, from 4.88 billion ASMs in September 2018.

Meanwhile, the carrier’s passenger load factor for the month was 80.3%, up 0.6 percentage points from 79.7% last September.

The airline reported that its preliminary completion factor was 97.9% and its on-time performance was 82%. It also provided updated guidance for third quarter revenue per available seat mile, or RASM. RASM is expected to decrease approximately 0.9% year over year, consistent with the airline’s revised guidance range of -2% to 0%.
