Air Canada and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters announced that the airline’s U.S.-based workers have ratified the tentative agreement that was reached in July.

“This outcome underscores the IBT’s and our employees’ alignment with Air Canada’s successful business strategy to continue building a sustainably profitable, global business,” said Craig Landry, the airline’s executive vice president for operations.

The union represents 700 Air Canada employees that work in the United States including customer service representatives, premium agents, concierges, reservations agents, and air cargo workers.

Air Canada has more flights between the United States and Canada than any other airline.  It operates over 100 flights per day between seven Canadian cities and New York City alone.

The new agreement will be in force until the fall of 2029.
