Hyatt Introduces Caption, a New Hotel Brand

DSC_3287Hyatt Hotels announced on Wednesday the debut of a new hotel brand, Caption by Hyatt.

The new brand fits within the select service category, which falls between limited-service and full-service properties.

“Caption by Hyatt hotels will be anchored by a distinctive food and beverage experience that will be a vibrant mash-up between café, market and bar,” the hotelier said in a statement. Hyatt is working with Union Square Hospitality Group – known for such restaurants as Blue Smoke and Union Square Café – on Caption’s food and beverage offerings.

Hyatt says that the rooms as well as the common areas will be “flexibly designed” so that guests can “move things around” and make the space their own.

Public spaces will be “richly designed and unexpectedly put together” to encourage guests to spark conversations with one another, and the brand’s hotels will offer various events such as trunk shows and beer tastings.
