American Airlines plans to offer new daily service from Boston to London and increased service from Miami to Lima, Peru; Santiago, Chile; and São Paulo, Brazil.

The new non-stop service to London’s Heathrow Airport will begin on March 29, 2020, with an evening departure from Boston and an early morning return.  American will operate the flight using Boeing 777-200 aircraft with 37 fully lie-flat seats in its Flagship Business business-class cabin and 24 recliner seats in premium economy.

The London service will be offered in conjunction with American’s transatlantic joint-venture partner, British Airways.

On April 7, 2020, American will increase the frequency of its service linking Miami with Lima from two to three daily non-stop flights.  The Lima flights will be operated using Boeing 757s.

In addition, American will increase its service from Miami to both Santiago, Chile, and São Paulo, Brazil, next winter.  Both flights will be operated using Boeing 777-200 airliners.

The increase in flights to South America follows the announcement that American’s current partner in the region, Latam, and Delta Air Lines will be forming a partnership.

Finally, the airline plans to start its summer service to Rome, Dublin, and Barcelona earlier than in previous years.  The JFK-FCO route will commence on March 29 instead of May 3 in the prior year; the Dallas/Fort Worth-Dublin service will start on May 7 instead of June 6; and the Chicago O’Hare-Barcelona service will start on April 6 instead of May 3.
