Air Canada announced a new twist on the traditional airport lounge concept, the Air Canada Café, at Toronto Pearson International Airport.

Located in the domestic gate area, the café is available to passengers traveling in business class.  It is intended to complement the airline’s Maple Leaf Lounge by offering a menu that includes a variety of beverages including specialty coffees as well as food that can be consumed in the café or taken onto the aircraft.

The menu will include a selection of breakfast items including yoghurt, pastries, and fresh fruit until 11 a.m. and will also feature organic, cold-pressed juices, Lavazza cold brew coffee, and tea in addition to mineral water and soda.

The café seats 109 and features power outlets and USB charging ports. It also features a large mural by Canadian artist Shawn Evans, whose work is known for combining photorealism and abstraction, of various places in Canada where he has lived, ranging from streetscapes of Toronto to the open spaces of the prairie.
