Marriott International announced plans to replace small shampoo and conditioner bottles in some of its properties with larger in-shower dispensers.

The announcement on Wednesday covers five Marriott Brands: Courtyard by Marriott, SpringHill Suites, Residence Inn, Fairfield by Marriott, and TownePlace Suites. Four Marriott brands – Aloft Hotels, Element by Westin, Four Points, and Moxy Hotels – already implemented the policy.

The change “underscores how important we believe it is to continuously find ways to reduce our hotels’ environmental impact,” said the hotel chain’s CEO, Arne Sorensen.

In 2018, Marriott removed plastic straws and stirrers from its properties.
