The marble bathroom was well maintained and featured a combination shower/bathtub and amenities from Yucatan Herbal. Opposite the bathroom, was a coffee brewing station, a mini-bar stocked with soft drinks, beer and wine and a tray of snacks available for purchase.

Though the lighting was adequate, we felt the room overall, was a bit tired and suggestive of a grander time.

The large writing desk with overhead lighting was convenient for opening-up our laptop, laying out papers and organizing our visit. The basic Wi-Fi service, included in the room rate, worked well and was adequate for our needs. A faster speed was available for streaming or other needs at extra cost. A wall-mounted flat panel TV was conveniently located near the desk.

The hotel itself offered many options for guests requiring more formal office or meeting support. A fully equipped business center had three Apple workstations, printer and large work area with numerous electrical outlets.

For guests holding group or business meetings, the hotel’s La Residencia provides five private meeting room suites and amenities that extend well beyond standard conference rooms. Each is equipped with an elegant living room, bar and kitchen and provide access to collaboration rooms with blackboards, technology and mixed seating options. The hotel also has a large ballroom capable of seating nearly a thousand guests for a banquet or 1,650 in theatre style.

For those who want to work out, the hotel’s rooftop fitness complex has a large cardio area and gym, an indoor swimming pool, several outdoor tennis courts, steam rooms, and a sauna. The hotel’s spa offers a variety of treatments including massages and facials.f
