Air Canada announced new programs for children traveling on the airline.

The airline already offers dedicated check-in counters at major hubs, complimentary family seating, gifts for travelers under 11, and early boarding. The airline also offers priority booking in the event of schedule changes.

The carrier is adding a dedicated check-in counter at Calgary International Airport and is introducing new “on-board travel goodies” and “fun” meal options for children flying on Air Canada, Air Canada Rouge, and Air Canada Express flights.

“Travelling together often makes for some of the fondest, most enduring family memories,” said Andrew Yiu, the airline’s vice president for product.

The airline will continue to offer children membership in its Altitude Skyriders program.  Children will receive a flight logbook, a Skyriders luggage tag, badges for cities traveled to, and the opportunity for the junior travelers to earn a variety of goodies by flying.
