Travelers in dire need of a new passport can go to a FedEx Office location in the United States – there are over 2,000 – and request 24-hour, next-day, or other rush services. The FedEx stores also offer passport photos. The service is offered in partnership with RushMyPassport, a passport expediter.

The company is introducing the service because it has found that many people aren’t aware that their passports have expired or are close to expiring and, as a result, “scramble to find a last-minute solution.”

There are myriad reasons why a traveler might need a new passport, beyond overlooking the expiry date, including the theft or loss of a passport, passport damage, a change in name, or the need for a second passport for specific visa requirements.
