Aeromexico Appoints New Chief Commercial Officer
Aeromexico announced the appointment of Nicolas Ferri to the position of chief commercial officer.
Mr. Ferri, who will assume the position on August 1, was previously Delta Air Lines’ vice president for Latin America and alliances within the Americas. He will report to the airline’s CEO, Andres Conesa.
Aeromexico and Delta established a joint venture for transborder flights in 2017 and Ferri relocated to Mexico City to serve as Delta’s vice president for Mexico and Aeromexico/Delta Joint Business that year.
Under the terms of the joint-venture agreement, the two airlines are able to set prices and coordinate schedules for their U.S.-Mexico flights with immunity from U.S. anti-trust laws. The two have invested in airport facilities, boarding gates, and lounges, and implemented joint sales and marketing initiatives.
On his LinkedIn page, Mr. Ferri said he was “incredibly proud, humbled, and excited to be joining the Aeromexico team.”
