DSC_0514Low-cost Canadian carrier WestJet announced it will offer passengers WestJet Rewards Gold elite status when they purchase a business-class fare in the month of June.

The offer is valid for travel from Calgary to London, Dublin, or Paris, the airline’s three new Dreamliner routes. Passengers must book either a Business or Business Flex fare to receive Gold status. The status goes into effect at the time of booking.

“WestJet Rewards Gold status is designed to recognize and reward WestJet’s frequent flyers with a wide-range of travel privileges,” said d’Arcy Monaghan, the airline’s vice president of loyalty programs.

WestJet Rewards Gold members receive lounge access, priority check-in and boarding, advance seat selection, and priority baggage. They are also eligible to receive complimentary upgrades to the airline’s Premium cabin on most WestJet flights with the purchase of EconoFlex fares.
