Starwood Capital Debuts New ‘Treehouse’ Brand of Hotels

IMG_7144 2Starwood Capital announced the launch of Treehouse, a new hotel brand.

Treehouse hotels are less serious, the hotelier said, “more torn jeans and t-shirts” as well as “sunny, homey, witty, and fun.”

The first Treehouse hotel will be the Treehouse London, which is slated to open in late 2019. The 95-key property will feature a rooftop bar and will be across the street from BBC headquarters.

The hotel’s restaurant and bar will be operated by Southern California-based Madera Group, which owns multiple restaurants in the United States.

Starwood said it plans to announce additional Treehouse properties that will be located in the United States.

Founded in 1991 by W Hotel founder Barry Sternlicht, Starwood Capital operates 1 Hotel and Baccarat hotel brand hotels in addition to the new Treehouse brand.
