IMG_4997Marriott International announced the opening of Reges, a Luxury Collection Resort and Spa, Çeşme. The new property is the Luxury Collection’s third hotel in Turkey.

The 104-key resort, designed to resemble a whirling dervish, is set on 1.25 miles (2 kilometers) of coast that span Çeşme’s Boyalık Bay.  With a neutral earth-tone décor enhanced with splashes of turquoise as well as gold-dipped leaves, peacock feathers, and jacquard patterning, guest rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows with panoramic views of the Aegean Sea.

The Spa Reges offers a variety of treatments as well as a traditional Turkish Hammam, sauna, and steam room.

Dining options for guests include Safran, a Mediterranean restaurant, Hemera, a seafood restaurant, and the Lobby Lounge, which serves international cuisine. The two restaurants use regional produce including mastic gum, which is indigenous to the area.

The hotel has four meeting rooms and an outdoor space that can seat 300 for dinner.

Lying across a strait facing the Greek island of Chios, Çeşme is a coastal town accessed by a major highway. It was originally an ancient Greek city named Kyssos and is today known for its natural beauty, beaches, and coves as well as for its many hotels and restaurants. It is also the windsurfing and kite-surfing capital of Turkey.
